Photojournalism in Modern Times
Rick Findler is an established photojournalist and co-founder of Story Picture Agency.
Since starting his career in 2010 Rick has documented both national and global news stories ranging from the Covid 19 Pandemic and Crufts to the Libyan civil war and Afghanistan.
His work from Syria between 2012-2017 was widely recognised in awards such as The Picture Editors Guild Awards, his images from The USA were exhibited in The Royal Academy of Arts, and he is a regular contributor to The Times and The Guardian as well as all other national publications.
Rick's talk will focus on all of the above and everything in between. He will cover what it is like to be working as an independent photojournalist in today's modern world, as well as touch on the very dangerous and very close calls he has had whilst working on the many front lines around the world.
Rick also co-founded Story Picture Agency, a photo agency supplying newspapers with images and features from its contributors in various locations.
